Goshogawara Tachineputa

Goshogawara Tachineputa Aomori (Aug.)

Goshogawara Tachineputa is one of the main Nebuta/Neputa matsuri which are held throughout Aomori Prefecture. Dozens of neputa floats, including 3 Tachineputa, which at 23 m stand as tall as a 7-story building, are paraded through the city to the chants of “Yattemare” and musical accompaniment. The exquisite balance between the powerful matsuri, with its intricately molded and colorful floats, and the gracefully lit Tachineputa, is a must-see.
