Nihonmatsu no Chochin Matsuri

Nihonmatsu no Chochin Matsuri Fukushima (Oct.)

In the Nihonmatsu no Chochin Matsuri, drum stand floats from each town are decorated with red lanterns which are lit by a flame from Nihonmatsu Shrine. The seven floats, which are decorated with over 300 lanterns, glow red against the night sky as they are boldly paraded around the city to the shouts of the high-spirited youths and accompanying music.
