Katsuyama Kenka Danjiri

Katsuyama Kenka Danjiri Okayama (Oct.)

In the Katsuyama Kenka Danjiri, nine danjiri (floats) clash with each other violently in four fighting areas. From long ago, Katsuyama in Maniwa City flourished as an important point on the Old Road of Izumo, and has been designated as a townscape preservation area by Okayama Prefecture. The onlookers get caught up in the excitement, watching the youths of Katsuyama and the floats colliding in the most thrilling event of the year.
